ALIGNMENT- Lead yourself
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil.
As I think abut coaching and life, I realize so often, they parallel. Alignment is a fundamental in sport. As a coach, you have to get your players where they need to be first, so they CAN make a play if the opportunity arises. If they're in the wrong place, it doesn't matter what technique they use or even if they know what to do. I know this is similar to life in that, if you aren't in the right place, you will have the same struggle. I think this means as much spiritually and mentally as it has to do with the physical. If your heart or spirit isn't in the right place, then even things like honesty and integrity are hollow. Being aligned properly means that you are present and fully aware of your responsibility to the moment. Are you in the right place spiritually, mentally and physically? No, I am not.
